Buyer protection

Collection or delivery, every card payment on GolfFlip is covered until you've confirmed you're happy.

What is Buyer Protection?

Whenever you pay through GolfFlip's checkout, your payment doesn't go straight to the seller. GolfFlip holds it securely until you confirm you're happy with the item. That's either by confirming receipt of a delivered item, or by entering the seller's 4-digit code once you've collected and checked it in person.

What does it actually cover?

If an item doesn't arrive, arrives damaged, or isn't as described, you can raise a dispute from your order page instead of confirming receipt. GolfFlip reviews the evidence and can refund you instead of releasing funds to the seller. It also covers a seller going quiet: if they don't ship or complete the handover in time, you're refunded automatically.

What does it cost?

A small Buyer Protection fee is added on top of the item price, and you'll always see the exact amount broken out at checkout before you pay, so there's never a surprise.

Is it the same as my statutory rights?

Buyer Protection is a GolfFlip guarantee that applies to every card payment, on top of any statutory rights you already have. Buying from a verified Pro Account (trader) seller also gives you the separate 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. See our full Returns & Refunds Policy for the details.

What isn't covered?

Only payments made through GolfFlip's checkout are covered. If you arrange to pay a seller directly (cash on collection, for example), that's outside GolfFlip, so there's no payment for us to hold or refund.

For the full legal detail, including how Pro Account purchases differ, see our Returns & Refunds Policy.
