GolfFlip supports both in-person collection and postal delivery, whichever suits the item and the two of you.
How does collection work?
The buyer picks a listing set to collection, you agree a time and place, and the buyer gets a private 4-digit code. Once they've checked the item over and everything's OK, they give you the code to confirm the handover, and that releases the funds. No shipping needed.
How long does the seller have before I'm automatically refunded?
Whether you chose delivery or collection, the seller has 7 days from payment to ship the item or complete the handover. If the deadline passes with no action, GolfFlip refunds you in full automatically, no need to do anything. Need a bit more time on either side? Email support@golfflip.co.uk before the deadline and we can push it back.
What happens if I don't confirm a delivery arrived?
Once a delivery order is marked shipped, you have 3 days to check the item and confirm receipt. If you don't, GolfFlip releases payment to the seller automatically, the same way a seller who's gone quiet gets an automatic refund working the other way. If there's a problem with the item, raise a dispute instead of letting it sit, that pauses everything until it's reviewed.
What if I need to post the item?
Golf clubs don't fit standard parcel boxes. If a listing needs one, GolfFlip can send you a shipping box (120cm x 12cm x 12cm, one size, used for single clubs and multi-club iron sets alike, not for a full set or a bag), it's £5.99, only charged once the item actually sells, typically arrives within 3 working days, and free to cancel before it's dispatched. It comes with bubble wrap and tape strips included, so you can pack and send the item straight away. Selling a set of irons? They pack into the same box by alternating each club head-up, head-down.
Is delivery covered if something goes wrong?
Yes. Payment is held until the buyer confirms the item has arrived as described, for both collection and delivery sales.
