Cookies Policy
Last updated: 28 August 2026
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies GolfFlip (golfflip.co.uk) uses when you visit or use the Platform. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle your personal data more generally.
2. Essential cookies only
GolfFlip currently uses only essential cookies, the kind needed to make the Platform work, that don't require consent under UK cookie law (PECR). We don't set any advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies at this stage. If that changes in future, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent first, with a cookie banner, before any non-essential cookie is set.
3. The cookies we set
An authentication session cookie, set by Supabase (our login provider), so you stay signed in as you move around the Platform and don't have to log in again on every page. This cookie is strictly necessary, without it, you couldn't stay logged in to buy, sell, or message. It's cleared when you log out or when your session expires.
4. Payment cookies
When you check out, Stripe (our payment processor) may set its own cookies on the Stripe-hosted checkout page to process your payment securely and detect fraud. These are set by Stripe, not GolfFlip, see Stripe's own cookie policy at stripe.com/cookies-policy for details.
5. Managing cookies
Because we only use essential cookies, there's nothing to opt out of to keep using GolfFlip, blocking the session cookie in your browser will simply log you out. Most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies through their settings if you'd like to manage this yourself.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the cookies we use change, for example, if we later add analytics. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date, and ask for consent first for anything non-essential.
